Faith, Fellowship, and Fun – St. Mary’s JSOC South London Sunday School Hosts JSVBS 2026 – February 14, 2026
Woodmansterne Village Hall was transformed into a vibrant hub of worship and joy as St. Mary’s Jacobite Syriac Orthodox Church (JSOC) South London Sunday School successfully hosted its annual Junior Syriac Vacation Bible School (JSVBS) 2026.
This year’s event centered around the powerful and uplifting theme: “I will rejoice in the Lord” (Habakkuk 3:18). From 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, children from across the community gathered to explore what it means to find lasting joy in God, regardless of their circumstances.
A Day of Spiritual Growth
The program was designed to be both educational and high-energy, ensuring that the message of Habakkuk resonated with every age group. Key highlights included:
Interactive Bible Lessons: Students engaged with the story of the prophet Habakkuk, learning to choose praise even in difficult times.
Worship & Song: The hall echoed with the voices of children participating in spirited action songs
Creative Workshops: Through arts and crafts, the children created visual reminders of God’s faithfulness to take home.
