St Mary's Jacobite Church South London

Welcome to St. Mary’s Jacobite Church in Purley, London, UK. Established in August 2021 under the esteemed Diocese of UK & Ireland of the Jacobite Syriac Orthodox Church, our Jacobite Church serves as a beacon of faith and spiritual refuge in South London, UK. The inaugural Holy Mass was solemnly celebrated by Reverend Father Geevarghese Thandayath at our founding location near Morden, and our congregation presently assembles at St Swithun’s Church near Purley, where we continue our sacred worship and ministry. Our mission is firmly grounded in responding to those experiencing suffering and hardship, extending compassion without discrimination, and empowering individuals to enhance their lives and communities with dignity, respect, and hope.
