St. Mary’s Jacobite Syriac Orthodox Church South London organized a vibrant BBQ party for its parishioners at Merstham Park School on Saturday, July 13th . The community gathering, which ran from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, began with setup and preparation, followed by a prayer and welcome session before the grills were fired up at 10:45 AM .
The event featured a diverse programme catering to all age groups, including a special session on Immunisation Awareness for children, games and activities for both kids and adults, a spirited tug of war competition, and plenty of delicious BBQ food and snacks . These activities underscored the church’s mission to bring families together in faith and fellowship.
St. Mary’s JSOC South London, established in August 2021 under the Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Diocese of UK & Ireland, continues to strengthen its community through such meaningful gatherings. The parish encouraged all members to join the celebration by 10:45 AM, reaffirming its commitment to building a strong spiritual foundation among families in South London
